BioMe+ is a dietary supplement with at least 10 billion microorganisms to support anti-stress coping.
The strains are cultivated in tanks in France or Canada, depending on availability, using top-quality standards and modern technology. Extensive research and the production company’s experience guarantee the microorganisms’ highest stability and reproducibility.
The production company, founded by the French in Canada in the late 19th century, expanded in the 20th century with a second production site near Toulouse, France. With 120 years of fermentation process expertise, it is among the pioneers globally in conducting clinical studies with probiotics/living microorganisms.
Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are complex sugars in the fructan group. Since digestive enzymes can’t break them down, they are considered dietary fibers and act as prebiotics to support healthy gut bacteria, particularly bifidobacteria. The FOS in BioMe+ are derived from sugar beets.
The process begins with sugar being broken down into glucose and fructose. Then, a mix of oligosaccharides is created, containing one glucose molecule and up to ten fructose molecules. The sugar beets come from various EU countries like Germany, France, or the Netherlands.
Inulin is a mixture of polysaccharides made up of fructose units and, like FOS, falls under the category of fructans. Due to its ability to serve as nourishment for healthy bacteria, it acts as an effective prebiotic. The inulin in BioMe+ is extracted from chicory roots: the water-soluble inulin is removed, purified, and dried. The end product is a white, fine-grained powder. The chicory roots used for inulin extraction in BioMe+ are sourced from either Chile or Belgium.
The magnesium glycerophosphate in BioMe+ has origins from both minerals and plants. The magnesium is sourced from natural raw materials found in magnesite mines in France, where magnesite is a mineral also known as magnesium carbonate.
The pure magnesium is extracted using either electrical separation or thermal reduction methods and is purified through vacuum distillation. To enhance compatibility, the magnesium is encapsulated with plant-derived glycerin. The magnesium glycerophosphate used in BioMe+ is produced in France.
